MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE

What is manual lymphatic drainage?
Lymphatic system is responsible for eliminating excess fluid from tissues and organs. This system is composed of a network of lymphatic vessels and capillaries that drain this excess, called lymph, and carry it to the bloodstream. Any dysfunction in the functioning of this system causes an imbalance in the elimination of excess fluid, causing it to accumulate in the interstitial tissue, resulting in oedema, giving the region a swollen and shiny appearance. This build-up can happen on the body or face. Body lymphatic drainage is a technique capable of helping the body to eliminate excess fluids and toxins, which, due to some imbalance in the lymphatic system, have accumulated in the body.
